The dbx® 1231 Equalizer, part of the 12 Series, is designed for high-demand sound reinforcement with intuitive controls, and features dual channels, 31 1/3 octave bands, ISO frequency centers, and +/- 12 dB gain range. It includes switchable low-cut filters, 45 mm faders, selectable boost/cut ranges, and multiple connectors (XLR, barrier strip, 1/4″ TRS). With balanced inputs/outputs and a chassis/signal ground lift, it ensures quiet operation and easy hum isolation. The precision-engineered design offers a 10Hz to 50kHz frequency response, >90dB SNR, <0.005% THD+Noise, and <80dB interchannel crosstalk, encased in a durable 3U chassis.

The 215s by dbx is a dual-channel, 15-band, 2/3 octave graphic equalizer designed for live applications, audio installations, and studio use. It features 20mm non-conductive sliders for +/-6dB or +/-12dB adjustments, a global +/-12dB input gain control, and a switchable 12dB per octave low-cut filter at 50Hz. With its extended frequency response, high dynamic range, quality components, and meticulous design, the 215s ensures excellent sound and durability.

The dbx 231s is a dual-channel 31-band graphic equalizer with 1/3-octave equalization, ±12 dB input gain, selectable ±6 dB or ±12 dB boost/cut range, 20mm nonconductive sliders, and output level metering, featuring an extended frequency response of 10Hz to 50kHz and a 112 dB dynamic range, suitable for studios, tours, and installed sound venues.

The dbx 520 De-Esser, fitting into a 500 series lunchbox chassis, is engineered to reduce excessive sibilance in vocals and high-frequency content. It operates by analyzing the level difference between high frequency and full-bandwidth signals, allowing up to 60 dB of de-essing. With an 800 to 8,000 Hz frequency control, gain reduction metering, a de-essing range of 0 to 20 dB, and an In/Out switch for A/B comparisons, this unit also features an HF mode switch for tailored processing.

The dbx 530 Parametric Equalizer is a versatile 500 series module inspired by the dbx 905, featuring three filter bands with adjustable bandwidth control and up to 15 dB cut or boost. Each band can independently apply an “infinite notch” for specific frequency removal, and the high and low bands switch between peaking and shelving. The “In” button provides easy comparison between affected and bypassed signals.

The dbx 560A Compressor/Limiter, designed for 500 series lunchbox chassis, offers VCA-based compression with switch-selectable OverEasy and Hard Knee curves, identical to the dbx 160A. This unit features broad threshold, ratio, and output controls, along with true RMS level detection for natural dynamic processing. Ideal for enhancing drums, bass, and vocals, it provides flexibility from subtle compression to brickwall limiting. Suitable for both studio recording and live sound, it effectively manages fluctuating levels and prevents overload distortion.
