Featuring 8-note polyphony, four operators, and twelve unique algorithms, this synthesizer seamlessly bridges the gap between retro 80’s sounds and contemporary EDM.

Sound design is intuitive and rapid, thanks to the DX’s multi-touch control interface and digital display. With comprehensive editing capabilities, musicians can delve deep into parameters such as frequency, detune modes, feedback, and keyboard scaling rate. Classic ADSR controls are included for precise envelope generation, while seven LFO waveforms provide extensive modulation possibilities.

Experience additional creative freedom with built-in effects like distortion, touch wah, chorus, flange, phaser, delay, and reverb. The integrated looper allows for layering multiple phrases, enhancing live performance or studio sessions. A 37-note keyboard, employing Yamaha’s High Quality (HQ) technology, ensures an authentic and responsive playing experience.

This versatile instrument includes a range of connection options: dual unbalanced 1/4″ outputs, a stereo headphone output, a mini TRS input, a mini-DIN connector with MIDI in/out, and USB connectivity. On-board storage includes 32 presets, with the option to expand via a dedicated iOS app for librarian functionality.
