Yamaha’s Advanced Sound Concept

If the sound quality falters in 2-channel playback, surround sound reproduction suffers. This principle guided the design of the NS-F350, aimed at perfecting 5-channel audio output. Every channel incorporates a new tweeter and PMD cone woofer combo, ensuring an expansive and seamless theater sound throughout your room.

Expansive High-Frequency Sound

The NS-F350 leverages a 3 cm (1”) aluminum dome tweeter capable of reproducing high frequencies up to 45 kHz (–10 dB). The innovative construction, which places the aluminum dome inside the voice coil, and Black Anodised processing reduce the typical aluminum sound character, resulting in expansive, accurate high-frequency reproduction filled with texture and nuance.

Unique Waveguide Horn

Designed to control directivity, the NS-F350 features a waveguide horn that optimizes the sound field by directing reflections from walls and surfaces. With a left-right directional range of 135 degrees and a vertical range of 120 degrees, it precisely recreates sound while minimizing room impact.

Distinctive PMD Cone

The 3-way, 4-speaker setup utilizes a PMD (Polymer-Injected Mica Diaphragm) cone for both midrange and dual woofers. This combination guarantees ideal internal loss, high elasticity, excellent SN ratio for human vocals, and a supple, transparent tone in the low-frequency range.

Double-Structured Rounded Front Baffle

The cabinet’s rounded shape limits parallel surfaces, reducing standing waves and unwanted resonance. The front baffle, with its double structure and piano finish, adds reinforcement and results in natural and transparent tones.
