Description

Invisible Speakers represent Sonance’s “Designed to Disappear” approach, delivering high-end audio performance from an almost invisible installed speaker. The IS8 (24″ x 16″) pair incorporates Sonance Motion Flex technology — a combined system of a Wave Flex drive unit and an Air Flex woofer — to produce velvety mids, crystal highs, and robust bass from behind a finished surface.

Key performance elements include the Wave Flex Drive Unit (a bending-wave mid/high transducer), Air Flex Woofer (glass-fiber woofer coupled to an acoustically inert diaphragm), an acoustically isolated baffle for ultra-low distortion, and a Constant Directivity Crossover (CDX) for smooth off-axis response and nearly 180° dispersion. Sonance’s Depth Identification Sensing (DISC) system and installation accessories (pre-construction brackets, space savers, noise isolating enclosures) ensure consistent finish thickness, reliable performance, and simplified installation for both music and home-theater/surround applications.
