The black SPD-SX Sampling Pad by Roland allows you to easily sample, capture, assign, and play drum sounds and audio phrases on nine velocity-sensitive drum pads. Each pad has a dedicated LED indicator that shows pad status and audio-level activity during performance. Ideal for home, studio, or stage, the SPD-SX has high-contrast red divider lines, helping you to see each pad zone clearly both onstage and in dimly lit environments.

Equipped with 4GB of internal memory and a selection of preloaded sounds, the SPD-SX holds approximately 6 hours of samples, providing plenty of space for most sample libraries. Expand your library easily using the built-in USB ports, which support flash memory and mass storage drives along with USB MIDI/Audio transfer. The included SPD-SX Wave Manager software allows you to import audio files, assign samples to any pad, and organize them conveniently. Capture audio samples effortlessly by connecting an external audio source.

Manipulate your samples using three onboard multi-effects units, four dedicated effect buttons, and two real-time control knobs. The SPD-SX offers twenty-one master effects, including filter, delay, and a built-in equalizer. The high-contrast backlit LCD displays information clearly in any environment, ensuring you always stay informed during performances.

The versatility of the SPD-SX extends to its extensive I/O options, supporting various connections for most applications. The master out section includes two 1/4″ outputs for mixers and amplifiers and a headphone jack. The input section provides 1/4″ stereo/mono connectors with line and mic gain, as well as a footswitch input for additional triggers or pedals. Expand your setup further using dual-trigger inputs for external pads or acoustic drum triggers and MIDI I/O for extensive sound control.
