Designed for keyboard players and live performers, the Nektar GXP88 is an 88-note USB MIDI keyboard controller offering instant access to performance controls, including a real-time repeat engine, powerful Nektarine plugin patch management, and Nektar DAW integration. This versatile device is well suited for both studio and stage applications, featuring a slim-line control panel based on the Impact GX series. It enables advanced DAW integration with extended transport control, track selection, volume control, and the ability to open and close DAW windows and navigate songs. For direct MIDI program and bank selection, the GXP88’s user interface includes 14 assignable illuminated RGB buttons.

The Key Repeat function is a standout feature, providing an innovative real-time tool for creating inspirational rhythms and patterns. Users can control repeat rates, accents, swing, internal routing, aftertouch, modulation, and velocity directly from the controller’s illuminated buttons. Nektarine 2.0 software further enhances the GXP88’s functionality, allowing control of 16 VST or AU instrument plugins, and the ability to customize, save, and load patch sets instantly. The keyboard also supports advanced controls like keyboard zones, layers, and splits for all hosted plug-ins. Nektarine can run as a VST, AU, or AAX plugin in any compatible DAW or as a standalone application.

The GXP88 includes full DAW support integration with Bitwig, Cubase, Digital Performer, Garageband, Logic, Nuendo, Reaper, Reason, Sonar, and Studio One. The keyboard is bus-powered or can be powered by an optional 9 VDC power supply. The package includes a USB cable and a copy of Bitwig 8-Track.
