Description

Studio 89 takes inspiration from the culturally explosive 1980s and Monitor Audio’s iconic Studio Series, updated with state-of-the-art acoustic engineering. This compact bookshelf model houses technologies from the Platinum Series 3G and the flagship Hyphn, delivering lifelike high-frequency clarity from an MPD III transducer together with punchy, articulate low-mid performance from twin 4¼” RDT III C-CAM drivers. The rigid die-cast aluminium baffle, new high-quality crossover components and twin HiVe II slot ports ensure controlled, refined bass and seamless driver integration. Finished in deep high-gloss black with gold-coloured driver cones, Studio 89 offers a visually striking aesthetic alongside a large, immersive sound for its size.

Key features include an MTM driver array (two-way MTM configuration), precision Rhodium-plated speaker terminals, a ported cabinet with twin velocity-reflex ports, and compatibility with the bespoke Studio 89 stand. Studio 89 is designed to deliver a breathtakingly big sound from a beautifully finished compact box — suitable for high-fidelity stereo and small-to-medium home cinema systems.
