Description

The Monitor Audio C165 is a premium in-ceiling speaker designed for high-fidelity distributed audio and discreet home theatre installations. It pairs a 6½” MMP II cone bass driver with Monitor Audio’s C-CAM Gold Dome pivoting tweeter to provide detailed treble, controlled bass and broad dispersion for an even room response. The pivoting tweeter allows precise imaging direction while the HF level switch (+3 dB / 0 dB / -3 dB) offers tonal adjustment to match room acoustics or placement variations.

Built from mineral-filled ABS (RoHS compliant) and fitted with a low-profile grille (optional square grille available), the C165 is straightforward to install using the three-position Tri-Grip dog fixings. It is suitable for use with modestly powered amplifiers (recommended 20–65 W) and is tuned for a frequency response that reaches down to 60 Hz for satisfying low-frequency extension from an in-ceiling installation.

Optional installation accessories include the CB6 Pre-Construction Bracket and CCBOX-R / CMBOX-R back boxes for installations where a back box or pre-construction template is required.
