The Genelec 8341A, finished in white, is a point-source monitor designed for near-field professional audio applications. It features a coaxial design with a centrally located driver, tweeter, and two 6.6” woofers for accurate sonic radiation. The 8341A includes Intelligent Signal Sensing technology to automatically detect and switch between analog and digital sources, supporting XLR inputs for both types. Additionally, Genelec’s GLM software can be used for manual input selection, room tuning, and configuring multiple monitors. RJ45 ports and an XLR output for AES/EBU signal distribution are also provided.

Genelec 8341A Point-Source Monitor

The Genelec 8341A, styled in a classic white finish, is a premier point-source monitor designed specifically for near-field professional audio applications. Utilizing a sophisticated coaxial design, this monitor integrates the driver, tweeter, and dual 6.6” woofers in a single location for precise sound radiation and aligned acoustical axes.

This monitor comes equipped with Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) technology, which detects if analog or AES/EBU digital sources are in use, automatically adjusting to produce optimal sound. Additionally, the Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software can manage, equalize, and coordinate multiple monitors in a setup, overriding automated signal selections if necessary.

The Genelec 8341A also features reflex ports for enhanced low-end directionality, DIP switches, and a rotary control for manual level adjustments. Its Iso-Pod stand ensures isolation from acoustically harmful surfaces. The monitor’s acoustically concealed woofers, minimum diffraction coaxial (MDC) drivers, and proprietary directivity-control waveguide (DCW) provide unparalleled sound quality.
