Design and Technology

Constructed with Genelec’s Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) technology, the all-aluminum, rounded cabinet minimizes edge diffraction distortions, ensuring precise sound clarity. The studio monitor also boasts a metal dome tweeter housed in a Directivity Controlled Waveguide (DCW), delivering a consistent audio response both on and off axis.

Energy Efficient and Powerful

Equipped with Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) technology, the 8030C promotes energy efficiency by automatically switching to Standby Mode when no signal is detected, reducing energy consumption to less than 0.5 watts. The monitor’s powerful sound is driven by separate 50-watt amplifiers dedicated to its 3/4″ tweeter and 5″ woofer. For enhanced bass response, the rear-facing reflex port can be complemented with the optional Genelec 7050B active subwoofer.
