The ISA Two from Focusrite is a dual mono microphone preamp that leverages transformer-based microphone inputs with customizable input impedance. Designed following the revered designs from the Focusrite Forte and Studio consoles, this preamp offers up to 80 dB of clean gain. The front panel’s dual instrument inputs provide immediate access to high-quality Direct Inputs (DIs).

The microphone inputs are equipped with Lundahl LL1538 transformers featuring a 3-section winding for minimal leakage inductance and a broad frequency response. Each transformer is protected from stray magnetism by mu-metal cans. Each channel also hosts a balanced insert point, activated via a front-panel switch, simplifying the integration of EQ, compressors, or limiters.

The ISA Two comes with an added premium: the Brainworx bx_console Focusrite SC plug-in, a remarkable digital recreation of the coveted Focusrite Studio Console. Limited to 10 units worldwide, this plugin allows you to integrate this legendary console sound directly into your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
