Description

The Arcam PA720 is a purpose-built 7-channel power amplifier designed for immersive home theatre systems. It supplies 100 watts to each of seven channels (8 Ω, 20–20,000 Hz) and 140 watts into 4 Ω, enabling you to power front left/right/center and four surround/effects speakers from a single chassis. The PA720 uses a high-efficiency Class G topology — combining 20 watts of Class A circuitry for low-level signals with a higher-voltage power stage that engages for dynamic peaks — delivering musical detail and headroom without excessive distortion.

Designed with professional and custom-install systems in mind, the PA720 offers flexible connectivity: unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR inputs (switchable), grouped binding-post speaker outputs, RS-232 and Ethernet control for automation, 12 V trigger in/out, and a USB Type-A port for firmware updates. The amplifier features a toroidal power transformer for low noise and high-current delivery and comes backed by a 5-year parts and labour warranty.
