Arcam AVR31 – 7.2 Channel HDMI 2.1 Class G AV Receiver

Arcam’s AVR31 places the company’s engineering expertise into a premium home theater receiver built for both movies and music. The unit pairs a Class G amplifier (offering low-distortion, Class A operation at low levels with a high-voltage stage for peaks) with an over-engineered toroidal power supply for exceptional sonic cleanliness. Two reference ESS Sabre ESS9026PRO DACs and dedicated voltage regulators deliver high-resolution audio detail and musicality.

The AVR31 decodes up to 16 channels of surround formats including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and AURO-3D. It includes seven built-in amplifier channels (120 watts per channel into 8 Ω, 20–20,000 Hz at 0.02% THD with two channels driven) and many preamp outputs for expansion, enabling setups up to 9.1.6 when used with external amplifiers. Dirac Live room correction (microphone included) optimizes speaker performance to your room — the Dirac software runs on a Windows or Mac laptop.

Modern connectivity is covered with HDMI 2.1 (7 in / 3 out) supporting 4K/120 Hz and 8K/60 Hz, HDCP 2.3, Dolby Vision, HDR10/10+, HLG and dual main-room HDMI outputs. The unit also supports network and wireless streaming (Chromecast built-in, Apple AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, UPnP) and is controllable via Arcam’s MusicLife app.

Additional conveniences include an included remote, color front display, FM tuner with presets, IR and 12-volt trigger control for integration, and a detachable power cord. Dirac Live Bass Control is available separately from Dirac for advanced subwoofer tuning.
