Roland’s V-1HD+ Compact 4 x HDMI Video Switcher is a portable solution for HD video production that accommodates up to four HDMI inputs, as well as PC resolutions over one of the inputs. Each input has a frame buffer/TBC and support frame rate conversion, so you don’t need to genlock your input sources together. You can control the switcher manually by using the built-in controls or remotely via RS-232, and it has a tally output for working with live cameras. Select your working resolution and switch between four input sources. Built into the switcher is a 14-channel audio mixer that can de-embed and embed audio signals from HDMI.

The VC-1-SC Up/Down/Cross Scan Converter from Roland provides high picture quality by maintaining the video characteristics of the original signal with rich-blacks and super-whites. There are no interlacing artifacts or other conversion or signal errors that are sometimes found with other video converters. The VC-1-SC also features an on-board re-clocker to compensate for attenuation of SDI signals carried over long distances. The VC-1-SC also supports both level A and B 3G-SDI, thereby enabling you to connect a variety of high quality SDI sources.

The Roland VC-1-SH SDI to HDMI Video Converter allows SDI video to be monitored using relatively inexpensive HDMI-equipped displays, and can also serve and an audio embedder and de-embedder. The internal processing has been designed to faithfully preserve the incoming SDI signal and frame rate without introducing interlacing artifacts, signal errors, or reducing the dynamic range of the image. The SDI signal is re-clocked before processing to help ensure best performance.
