The Crown XFMR-4 and XFMR-8 are rack-mountable transformers designed to match impedance between amplifier outputs and constant voltage loudspeakers, enabling amplifiers without 70Vrms or 100Vrms output to drive distributed speaker systems operating at these voltages.
The EOL box functions as an End of Line termination for audio systems utilizing a 20kHz pilot tone to detect open or short circuit conditions. Positioned at the loudspeaker circuit’s far end, it presents a 10Ω or 5Ω load at 20kHz, selectable via an external switch. The 20kHz current is measurable with HiQnet Audio Architect™ software, indicating circuit integrity. Compatible with DCi Network and USP4 amplifiers, which can generate the necessary pilot tone and bypass internal speaker processing.
