It features a high-quality 128-voice sound engine, which affords plenty of bandwidth and exceptional sound quality. You can play SMF, MP3. WAV, MP3+CDG and VIMA Tunes files; as well as build your own custom libraries in your personal favorite key signatures and tempos. The JM-5 is also able to cancel pre-existing vocals, making your own instant karaoke and sing-along machine.
The black VT-12 from Roland is a convenient “pocket vocal coach” that when sung into, tracks your pitch and displays it in real-time in half-step increments using an easy-to-see illuminated pitch meter. The meter responds quickly and accurately and brightens as you approach the correct pitch and darkens as you move further away. A guide tone with a 24 semitones range can be used for personal practice, or used by vocal teachers to show their students when they’re singing the correct pitch.

The optical MADI card provides the same functionality as the Cat 5 version but on industry- standard SC fibre connectors. Two duplex SC connectors allow dual redundant cabling with automatic switchover. Connection distances of up to 1500m are possible using the standard multimode card, but a version with single-mode optical transceivers is also available allowing distances of up to 10km.
