    The Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic is an eight-channel preamp and interface designed for studio expansion and live performance. It features eight combination inputs for 1/4ʺ and XLR cables, two of which support Hi-Z instruments, and eight 1/4ʺ line outs on the rear panel. With AD/DA conversion up to 192 kHz and ADAT I/O, it extends the capabilities of interfaces like the Scarlett 18i8 and 18i20. Each input includes a soft-knee VCA compressor with adjustable settings, and the unit’s 2nd-generation Scarlett mic preamps handle high-headroom recordings. Front panel controls include 48V phantom power, sample-rate selection, and input metering, making it versatile for both studio and stage use.

It includes XLR-1/4” combo inputs for mic, line, and instrument signals, with pads and 48V phantom power for each channel. Additional features include wordclock sync I/O, 5-segment LED metering, and the ability to simultaneously route to both analog and ADAT outputs. The OctoPre comes with software access to Focusrite Red 2 & Red 3 plug-ins, Softube Time and Tone Bundle, and the Plug-In Collective.
